Privacy
Cookies on this site
What we store in your browser, why, and how to change your mind.
This is a travel diary run by two people. We are not interested in knowing who you are: the site works perfectly well if you refuse everything on this page, and nothing is hidden behind consent.
What a cookie is, briefly
A small piece of text a site leaves in your browser and can read back later. Some are needed for the site to work at all; others exist to count visits or to recognise you elsewhere. The second kind only runs if you say yes.
What we use
The categories in the banner
Necessary — the two above. They cannot be refused, because
without them there is no site and no way to remember your refusal.
Functional — things embedded from elsewhere, like a map or a
video, which set their own cookies when they load.
Analytics — counting visits, to know which stories get read.
Marketing — recognising you on other sites. We would rather
not, and if we ever do, it will be here first.
Changing your mind
Reopen the choices at any time — the link is also at the bottom of every page. Refusing later does not undo what was already collected before you refused; for that, clear the site data in your browser.
Keeping proof
When you choose, we store one line: a random code (also kept in your browser), what you chose, when, and which version of this page you were shown. Not your IP address, and nothing that says who you are — collecting more personal data to prove we asked about personal data would be an odd way round.
Writing to us
For anything about your data, write to info@yurieale.it.
